Client was discharged from an acute hospital stay two days ago for worsening heart failure despite management at home with furosemide, captopril, and metoprolol. During the hospitalization, the client was prescribed digoxin and a potassium supplement. Upon auscultation, S3 heart sound noted and the client has occasional expiratory wheezing. Client has 2+ edema on bilateral lower extremities. The client will return to the office in two weeks to review lab work and medication management.
